I slipped on some ice today and fell down pretty hard. As I lay flat on my back collecting my wits and catching my breath people just walked on by. I bet I laid there semi conscious for a good 2 minutes before someone finally stopped to ask if I was ok and assist me to get up off the ground.

My thoughts are had I seen a person laying flat on their back in a parking lot, that I would have stopped to help rather than just walking on by.

End rant

Maybe I should feel fortunate no one ran me over while I was flat on my back on the ground.

Did you look homeless or crazy? If you looked nuts I'd stay away. That and I'd fall prey to the psychological phenomenon of people not stopping because they think someone else will stop.

That sucks. I hate to say it but that is not a problem up here. I seen a drunk bum slip on ice and a group of young chaves stoped and called a medic for him. A car also stoped to help and a lady from a store came to help. One nice thing about Fort McNewfie is people are always willing to help.
