True story. I was cycle commuting a couple years ago on the Arbutus route and I stood up to get some speed up a small hill. As i was putting it to the grinds one of the clips on my peddles sheared, sending me over the bars and skidding up the hill.

Only one cyclist out of about a half dozen thought to see if I was ok, and at that it was a peddling by "you alright." I hadn't even collected myself to realize they were speaking to me.

It is full of assholes from out of town. But the true locals are good people. If you could get rid of all the fishermen and rig pigs it would be awesome.

I slipped on some ice today and fell down pretty hard. As I lay flat on my back collecting my wits and catching my breath people just walked on by. I bet I laid there semi conscious for a good 2 minutes before someone finally stopped to ask if I was ok and assist me to get up off the ground.

I would assume you were going to sue whichever poor fool was naive enough to try and help you and keep walking too.

Separated shoulder, cracked ribs,and the Doc says I likely have a mild concussion.
