Technology will always be improving the stuff we ride. Some will be able to afford the new stuff now. But if you can't afford the stuff now it will always trickle down to the lower end parts later.

And of course there is always the other trickle down stream…when people want to upgrade say their Saint shifter to the next great one. Someone will buy it to replace their part.

Nothing new. That attitude has been around before internet outrage. Heard it many times as people talked down to others. Seen it recently at my mother in laws funeral from her sister. Who looks and talks down to those who are not at her station in life.

There has been variations of the instructor program over the years I think. Interestingly back when I took my NCCP Level MTB Coach's part of the sessions was pretty planning appropriate routes, what to do when extraction of injured was needed, and so on. Know a kid who took the MT Level coaches then the PMBI Level 1 and he said it was pretty much the same material with slight variations.

The only other stream I can think of would be a 2 year course like this.

Yep. I can foresee issues with access in other areas with this. For example the map shows ride in Ontario. And I do know in some areas land access has taken years to develop. And some are actually on private land and bringing this in would cause major issues.

I would hope that anyone who decides to sign on with this would add in the cost of having their own lawyer check everything before signing.

I am thankful of those that share their build projects and technical information online. But you only get out what you put in, so remember to give back and make some quality posts of your own.

So, how has the current weather effected Vancouver real estate?

Ordered a pair of proper Wintershoes for riding to battle cold feet but had to return due to size. Next winter maybe.

Over here the snow is gone and I went for a 70 km ride on old railroad tracks turned into biking paths yesterday. So nice. At times it felt like a really early spring.

Tonight the only way to ride is if one had stud….freezing rain turned it all into a luge track.

By the way my own (temporary) set-up for my Touran. It needs some refinement but works alright.

Basically two plywood boards which are attached to each other at the end of the day, both front seats have to be pushed forward as far as possible.

Leaves a space of 2 mtrs. Camping chairs, table and food in a box go below. Behind the seats I store the luggage and water.

Definitely cheaper than the set-up I could buy for this car.

Mic, out of curiosity. What did you do to secure the bikes at night?
