How old are you?

In terms of clock speed, I think it was only 1mhz. (remember the "turbo" button on old IBM PC for a scintillating 4.7mhz?) Max ram was 32K for that model, with some at 16K.

And storage - either a cassette tape, or in later years an external dual 5.25 floppy. I bought one of those and paid about 1800.00 for a whopping total of 340K of storage between the two disks.

And Davem…. I Keeeel you..

Yeah, that's REALLY old-school like the ones we used in high school, before I became a geek by trade. First work computer was a blazing fast 286sx/16Mhz with 640K conventional RAM and 384K extended (running MEMMAKER, of course), with a monstrous 20MB hard disk and DOS 3.3. I still think that XTree Pro was one of the best programs ever, and got me curious how everything worked. 17 years later, and IT work is how I make a living and buy nice bikes and boards…

sliding downhill is like sex or pizza …even the bad stuff is pretty good

I can't believe there's only 6 of us over 50 types.
I'm 51, started jumping my old red CCM 3 speed of make shift ramps back in '66.
Gave it up for almost 30 years and then my wife (God bless her) gave me a green Norco Kokanee for my 40th and it was "game on" again.

I remember getting kicked out of Young Drivers for showing up for a lesson hammered.
When I explained what happened to mom and dad I told them I thought if I learned to drive while tanked I would be a better driver coming home after parties. That didn't fly at all, even back in 1980 in redneck northern Ontario.

Wow…. I'm in the majority at 33 years of age. Great to see so many older riders still having a blast. I love it. Just bought a new DH bike even :D

No plans for me to stop riding!

I'm 25 and started riding when I was 20 on a 2002 Brodie Brute hardtail. Bought my first DH bike in 2004 at 22 and it was all downhill from there.
