In terms of clock speed, I think it was only 1mhz. (remember the "turbo" button on old IBM PC for a scintillating 4.7mhz?) Max ram was 32K for that model, with some at 16K.
And storage - either a cassette tape, or in later years an external dual 5.25 floppy. I bought one of those and paid about 1800.00 for a whopping total of 340K of storage between the two disks.

Yeah, that's REALLY old-school like the ones we used in high school, before I became a geek by trade. First work computer was a blazing fast 286sx/16Mhz with 640K conventional RAM and 384K extended (running MEMMAKER, of course), with a monstrous 20MB hard disk and DOS 3.3. I still think that XTree Pro was one of the best programs ever, and got me curious how everything worked. 17 years later, and IT work is how I make a living and buy nice bikes and boards…
