I deleted my profile about a year ago.
Don't miss it one bit.

Ask for your money back.
Also, ask for your money back.
Did you get your money back?
I’m still waiting for my refund.

was virtually dragged into using it. no seriously, it's barely even a choice. so i check it occasionally, mostly 2 groups, local riding and paddling club, seems convenient. almost starting to enjoy it. so i msg a guy on the mtb page about a comment and we strike up a back and forth chat for a couple days, all positive. then boom, i'm out. facebook kicks me off and says, hey, you can't msg people who aren't your friends, no more fb for you. Zuckerberger, suck my ass you DB.
I really wish that groups would stop using Facebook for this reason. I quit years ago, but it seems all the clubs or groups that I am associated with do all there communicating on a Facebook page. I choose to be in the dark.
I only use mine to post up anti Zuckerburg/facebook screeds.
I deleted mine off of my phone and haven't looked at it since. Whenever I do get an invite to something I always miss it and dont go which works out perfect for me as I generally want to be left alone.

It'ss a beautiful thing using the no Messenger excuse. I use this for our group ride every Monday.
At the end of thier 80,000 page Messenger thread of unrelated memes, which you are so sad to miss, someone in the group will inevitably send a text and ask if you're going.

Ok the messenger thread I'm guilty of lol.
I can't knock it, I've had some good things come from it. Car was posted for $1k less on marketplace than elsewhere. Recovered some stolen items through a "Thieves exposed" group. Family has a private group which is handy for catching up and making plans.
The comments sections can be just terrible though. I can't believe the things people say with their whole private life just one click away.

Freedom of contract. We sell them guns that kill them; they sell us drugs that kill us.
No cellphone, no social media, no problems.

Sounds like a beautiful fantasy.
