You may have noticed a new chunk of concrete at the top of Ladies Only. Why?

It's probably hard to measure the impact that Digger has had on mountainbiking in general, not just to the North Shore. I remember flipping through Bike mag waaaay back in the early 90's and dreaming about riding North Shore type stuff. Then watching the NSX series of videos. I think the Shore spawned a style of riding that has spread throughout the world, and Digger is in no small part responsible for that, having envisioned, and created those trails. I think he needs more than a plaque, he needs a statue!!!

In the mean time, I'll raise my glass in his hounour after my next ride (which should be tonight).

It's pretty amazing that the relationship has changed from an all time low "Cease and Desist order" to a commemorative table!

Hat's off to Digger for his work and cheers to all involved in putting this together.

Is it just me that thinks its a little ironic that the big pile of gravel is not rocked-in or retained in any way, so after a winter of rain most of it will have washed away? Digger is the master of weather proof trails, but it seems that he wasn't consulted here.

Proper drainage is key, which this mixture of sandy gravel aggregate provides. So long as every single newb doesn't intentionally skid around all four sides of it, all winter long ;)
I agree with Slyfink on the statue! All marble with some solid brass highlights?

Great idea and well deserved.

Please let me demonstrate the ride around; really it's no trouble.

I had the pleasure of sitting at this table last weekend. While I was sitting there reading what was written on the side of the table I heard a truck coming. I looked up and it was digger driving by. We both smiled and waved.
It was a happy moment :)

Haha - I thought it looked like that too but he was drumming on the table. Good times!
