Probably not a super popular topic around here, but I'm excited for the U2 concert announced yesterday!

http://www.u2.com/tour

BC Place on May 12 in Vancouver, May 14 in Seattle so little chance of a second Vancouver show being added. Tickets next week.

"I still haven't found what I'm looking for"

But seriously; how many seconds before the concert sells out after ticket release only to pop up on other sites for an over inflated value?

Why slag free swag?

Well then stop hanging out where the streets have no name, ffs.

Saw the Joshua Tree Concert in 1986…. Now I feel old
I thought it was "I still haven't found Mary Tyler Moore."

As I was attending BCIT I went to the Vancouver show in the fall of 87 at BC Place. We had to go get "wristbands" first so you could buy 8 tickets later. What a gong show. So many scalpers bought tix and then couldn't sell them at the door. When the concert was over, there were unsold tickets strewn everywhere outside BC Place. Ridiculous.

I would like to see Unforgettable Fire in its entirety. Think I will just play the cassette on my Walkman instead.

Unforgettable fire is by far my fave album by them, Brian Eno magic. The Albums after Joshua Tree didn't do it for me. Maybe if they were playing the Commodore or something I would go, but the big shows are not my thing.

Same. The songs need more Edge.

I remember coming out of the cinema after watching Rattle and Hum. I was so blown away by that movie, always wanted to see them live but the tickets were just too expensive.

And when I was in Ireland I could have watched them perform Beautiful Day back in 2000 when the album was officially released. I did not go because it was pissing rain near Dublin. In Dublin,, as we later found out, it was blue skies.

Have not heard anything from them in what feels like ages.
