Small rust / damage repair

This is a small spot on the a-pillar of my new-ish car. I really want to take of it before it gets worse and I'm not sure the best way to go about it. I assume a shop will want to fix it and paint the entire pillar and more, being quite expensive. I'd like to fix it and just touch up the area. It's very small, I had to use my macro lens to get a good look at it.

Any suggestions? I'm not too confident here and am afraid I'll make it worse if I attempt it myself, plus I have no bodywork tools.

thats [HTML_REMOVED] fucking small, I would get some touch up paint of the correct paint code from canuck tire, scratch out the rust/loose paint with a sharp pointy tool, dab some paint into the hit and call er good

Yeah that's dinky. Scrape it out and use some touch up paint.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

Perfect, that sounds doable.

What would you recommend to scrape it out with?

anything even remoteley sharp [HTML_REMOVED] pointy, a 3" drywall screw would work fine

somewhere on your vehical VIN plate there will be a paint code, match it up at cancuk tire … should be pretty cheap

Car's ruined, time to get an end of production line Defender. You're welcome.

Get something like this. I got one from Crappy Tire, very good at cleaning out rust in small cracks. Found it in their paint/fibreglass repair aisle a few years ago.

Being cheap is OK. Being a clueless sanctimonious condescending douchebag is just Vlad's MO.
