Clearly you'll get 20% less creak out of the 34!

That's still a lot of creak

I like my revelation dual air rlt w/ 20mm axle. Can't get it with 20mm anymore if I'm not mistaken, probably killed it because it made too much sense.

Check my stuff for sale!

most. meaningless. claim. ever. 20% more stiff than the 32 makes it what, a slightly undercooked noodle

what does it give up in stiffness to the 36?

Serially! Why can't we have some honest comparison between the two?

Come on Germany, i know you've got nothing better to fill your bike mags with, time for some lab work and figure out who has the stiffest fork chassis.

I believe the 34 is only 8% less stiff than the 36. That is looking at the change in the chassis and going from 20 to 15mm through axle.

Based on 1 years worth of testing, I believe it. I've never felt that needed more from my 34s. The only I noticed is that the CTD system takes a bit more fine tuning to get the air pressure / trail 1 setting right as compared to a RC2 system.

i must be weird - went from 32 to 34 to 36 on my stumpy this summer.
34 was more stout, but CTD is not for me (that dead horse has been thoroughly beaten already).
36 is more stout than 34, it is not subtle (approx similar to jump from 32 to 34).
i'm 200 lbs and cannot be described as smooth.
seems like light guys like CTD more than heavy guys, which i guess may have something to do with its lighter damping.

Which would equate to 28% less creak than my 36. Believe it of not I actually like my revelation WC more than my 36. No not as stiff…but kind of the last thing I'm thinking about bombing down a trail. So much emphasis is put on this fork it 22.2% stiffer than that fork…but I don't here too much about brakes:-)

34 vs 36…split the difference and get a 35mm Lyric.

Morg what's the deal with new comment format? There is one discussion going on here and another on the actual article. I would have missed the other had I not clicked back on it after reading the first time.

i'd like to see stiffness/ride comparisons between the 34 fox forks and rs revelations with 20mm axles; personally i can just barely feel a drop off in stiffness between my rev and my 36, but the decrease in weight and lower front end i definitely notice
