Seb Kemp took the Fox 34 26" to Trans-Provence, and fared well. What were his thoughts on the fork?

Yup. Anyone interested in a 36 talas RLC Kashima? Might be my next purchase for the Nomad.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

Good summary of the fork.

I've had the 29er version since the early summer.

Initially I wasn't that impressed but as I got used to it, it has grown on me.

One thing worth mentioning is to check the recommended pressure in the manual, it is higher than the previous Fox forks. With low pressure, I didn't like it at all.

The 34 forks offer a claimed 20 percent stiffness boost over an equivalent FOX 32 fork

most. meaningless. claim. ever. 20% more stiff than the 32 makes it what, a slightly undercooked noodle

what does it give up in stiffness to the 36?

No, no, you are only allowed to compare weight to the 36!

seems like putting in a proper 20mm axle would be the first place to stiffen up a fork. Weighs what, 30g more?

great little explainer piece in dirtrag a few months back about how the development of the 15mm qr was not prompted by a desire to increase stiffness, but instead to dumb-down the process of attaching the front wheel (something about helper monkeys and post-six-pack riders). can't find an online version

He's a bit of a diva that boom. Always flying off the handle. I hope he gets professional help for his anger issues. In the meantime, I will pray for him.

Now back on topic:

This F34 creak like the F32 ones?

Wrong. Always.

Clearly you'll get 20% less creak out of the 34!
