I don't understand why it's so acceptable to ride like this in video's and then expect others to ride not slide. Kid's watch pro's riding like this and and try and emulate it on every corner. I see it more and more on pro vids these days, bugs the heck outta me!

^Exactly!

It's really unfortunate to see professional mountain bikers being irresponsible with trail etiquette. Just because they're "pros" doesn't give them the right to slide down trails, powerslide through berms, or braid trails. Even if they do contribute to trail maintenance, just think of how much less work would need to be done if everyone rode responsibly. Despite that these actions may look "cool" on film, they send the wrong message to kids (and even adults) who watch, and then go out the next day and repeat what they saw on the video.

I love skidding.

I always yell out "Braaaap!" when I do it, too.

I don't wanna be that guy but 1:57 makes me f*cking cringe…. come on

it's no big deal, the loose dirt just gets washed away by the creek. good as new!

It looks like shit when he grabs a fistfull of brake, but it looks fun as hell when he blasts a corner. Get over it.

Great vid - makes me wanna go out and shred. Hell yeah….

and to all those riders who think that this should not be shown, and that the kids these days copy such actions and skid on trails that are then susceptible to erosion and then some…I agree but then again:

Whatever happened to common sense? Just because a pro shows it does not mean that ALL the kids do it as well.

Isn't the whole "roost" thing just a little bit overplayed? It isn't even cool to watch anymore. Here you have a very tallented rider- obviously- and through the vid he's throwing in these needless roosts. Don't get it. It's not even cool! I'd rather watch a guy ripping the same trail, doing it w/ style, and doing it clean. Sans roost.

Great riding and nice trailwork though, deffinitely want to visit.

Liked it, made me wanna get out there while there's still dirt left.

I'm not one to preach my riding philosophies onto others, I could give a shit if you walk up Fromme, etc… but this trend does get my old-school fist shaking.

There's only so much loam out there, kids!

Agreed. Cool riding, to much skidding.

Yeah, the skidding and roost is getting overdone… it looks like some of these riders are trying way to hard to be cool… you can ride fast and fluid without spraying shit all over.
