It is the guys that take the fitzsimmons to midway and then panic once they find the garbonzo lift closed. It is they who try to cram onto the gondola. Lifties cannot just yell at them to man up and ride down before taking the gondola the whole way up.

Too classy:rocker:

That was f**ked. We spent 1hr 5 minutes in line for the gondola. I also spent 1/2 hour driving from the creek to the village because of the paving. A whole day in Whistler and I only got two runs from the top of the Gondi down.

Grant it that was Original Sin-Goats Gully-In Deep-Litte Alder etc. so I was content. And somewhere during In Deep I took a bike seat to the groin and caused this damage.

I went Thursday and it was obviously deserted. This post however, is making me think twice about hitting up next Sunday.

I find it funny how busy Cypress is the weekend after Whistler closes.

I spent the day telling tourists that I just saw a bear right over there so they would get out of the line up for the Gondola. Didn't work nearly well enough.

The lines on Saturday were horrendous. At 13:00 they were asking people to go 4 at a time into the Gondy so I felt bad for the guys waiting at midstation.

When it's like that I find it hard to ride properly. I never feel warmed up, it's hard to get a flow going. As a result (maybe) I injured myself and won't be able to ride for a few weeks so I feel better knowing that the mountain fell down and is going to get a million feet of snow.

why the hell was garbo lift shut? on a weekend of all days. I just dont get the mentality of the people who make the calls. Makes me think twice about heading up next weekend now.

Lines look reasonable today, judging by the webcam.

Yesterday was nuts! I got up there at about 9am and it wasn't busy at all, but by noon it was crazy. WTF was with the paving as well, I swear they were doing that same stretch of road last summer??? It was bad going into Whistler, but at 2:30 when we tried to leave the flag-hag wasn't following the 15 car rule. We sat (and I'm not exaggerating) for 20 min waiting for our turn to go past the construction. It was most likely due to more people trying to get in than trying to get out, but still, it was friggin' ridiculous!

alright!!!

Agreed, super lame on WBP part. They could have planned that much better.
