One of my people that I worked with who grew up in East van, referred to China-sizing a car as the white on white treatment with a chinese lantern hanging from the rear view mirror and the bigger the lantern the better!
human rights, animal rights, a degree of environmental protection, big wilderness, cleanish air and water, rule of law. Canada basically sucks. especially compared to China. the good news is you have hundreds of thousands of people who share your sentiment and yet live in your backyard so you can commiserate (in your language of choice) about how much better it is on the other side. hey, you might even try and make this place more like that place, win win for everybody eh.
