I liked joni mitchels original version but for me nazereth do a slightly better cover of "This Flight Tonight"
That [HTML_REMOVED] Johnny Cash doing 'Hurt' are by far my fave covers. So different and so rad.

brings back the hazy memories of cruising while loaded in a 66 ford comet listening to nazereth on the 8-track
The cover is good except for the screamy/growly bit, and nothing will beat Bruce's voice.
just for comparision lets throw up the original too

it seems obvious to me that the maiden version is better, and knowing that they rock this hard live makes it seem more obvious
meh

lol i worked for them back in the late 80's, quite often the guitarist was too drunk to plug his guitar into the amp
good times
meh
Almost the same… But we were in a 63 comet Caliente. :P

You do know they were Scottish, right?
A couple pretty good covers by them:
It is easy to dodge our responsibilities, but we cannot dodge the consequences of dodging our responsibilities.

Every time I see an adult on a bicycle, I no longer despair for the future of the human race.
- H.G. Wells

the 63 was much cooler than the 66 but i doubt you were listening to an 8-track
I seen nazerth live in vancover and i think they needed to drink either more or less

No argument from me that the original is better, but I was still surprised by the Machine Head version.
I got the album it's from last night. Kerrang Presents Maiden Heaven, an Iron Maiden Tribute. It's a really solid album.

I've never been a huge fan of Metallica, so for me this cover is better :rocker:
Hug a logger, you'll never go back to trees
