Would you sell it, and for how much?

I have an extra bike that I don't necessarily need. It is a 2016 evil insurgent. Its a pretty nice build but of note the hubs are non-boost chris king and the bike is 11 speed. I was enjoying it but all my other bikes are slacker and two have 29 front wheels and the last time I rode this one I felt a bit nervous after I had an otb experience.

I was thinking of selling it but am thinking it also won't net much of its "worth"

Would you guys sell it, and if so how much? Or would you just keep it and ride it. If I keep it I think I might turn it into a mullet.

Hard to judge the price but put it high and see what happens. I just sold a bike recently and was literally getting messages every few minutes it was crazy

If you're thinking about selling this is the time to do it! I recently sold a bike and had the same experience as Kevin. Due to Covid there's a shortage of bikes. It's a seller's market.

Yeah, go for it! It is a really nice bike so you should get more than you expect. Recently sold my full-sus and got about 1000.- more than i would have gotten for it last year. Sold in 24 hrs....

A higher rise bar and angle adjust headset [if they'll fit on that bike] might cure the OTB feeling if you are inclined to actually ride it. If you are not going to ride it I would sell it even if the amount you get is painful. If it's not getting ridden it's just taking up physical and mental space.

I walked by a shop earlier this week and the only bikes they had in that $3000+ category were e-bikes.  Is this the new normal or Covid caused?

Yeah sell it bud if you're not really using it. I sold my aging DH bike as I figured I would nope out on WBP this season and got the asking price. Put it up for something that you'd be happy to let it go for and see what happens. Worst case scenario you get it cleaned up n running smooth for selling n if you don't sell it she's primo for yourself to ride.

It's a poorly kept secret that all the major bike companies are going to stop making non-motorized bikes and focus on e-bikes. ;-)

Thanks for the feedback. I was close to selling but didn't get around to it. I'm back in Vancouver, where this bike lives and dropped it into extra low, pumped up the fork a little firmer and made the brake levers steeper. I love riding it again! I think the fork was a little too soft and I was having it stay too low in  the travel on the steeper terrain. Also, I hate more level brake levers it turns out. I swear that the whole level brake lever thing is being pushed by people who are 5'8" riding long low and slack bikes with 170mm forks. If I was riding a long bike with a handlebar higher than  my seat, id like level brake levers too, but I'm not. Also, I think small hands are also part of it.

Anyways, loving my evil again. Ling live short reach 27.5 bikes!
