Interesting to see how much people have ridden and where.

My 2012 goal was to ride 52 times (figured I could fit an average of one ride/week amongst my busy work and personal life). Finished the year with 45 rides and not a bad variety. I love road trips :)

Chilcotins 10
Delta 10
Washington 9
Burnaby Mtn 4
North Shore 4
Whistler 2
SSC 2
Oregon 2
Squamish 1
Pemberton 1

My numbers suck, but thankfully I can boast/brag about my dad's

2012 he racked up 350 days. So he missed just over one day a month.
in 3 years he hit a whopping 1011 days……..
those 1011 days were done after hitting the nice young age of 70
He still manages to get 30-40 parks days in a year.
He sometimes rides 2x a day but only counts the day not the rides.

Not sure how many days he will rack up for 2013
He rarely uses the excuse that he is too old for this shit.

it should be noted that the rides he does are legitimate rides.

I think in 2011 he racked up over 700,000 vert in ascending and around 1.2m in desending. He didnt keep track on the vert for 2012.

if you use strava this is kinda something neat I just stumbled across…

http://www.jonathanokeeffe.com/strava/annualSummary.php

started tracking my rides in april, and there's more than a few that aren't included in this list….entirely satisfying season!
2012 Highlights

Total Distance 1,747 km
Time on bike 163:01:55 hrs
Total Rides 101
Rides over 50 km 2
Total Segments Ridden 721

That's a sweet little program. I just exported everything off my Garmin Connect page:

Count: 319 Activities
Distance: 4,958.36 km
Time: 291:19:56 h:m:s
Elevation Gain: 64,828 m
Avg Speed: 17.0 km/h
Calories: 187,199 C
Avg Distance: 15.54 km
Avg Elevation Gain: 203 m
Rides over 50 km: 14
Rides over 100 km: 3
Rides over 150 km: 1
Rides over 200 km: 1

My mileage is high because I commute 4/5 days a week, and there are a fair amount of road rides thrown in there, so I don't know exactly how much of that is MTB miles, but I'm pretty pleased with how much vertical I've climbed in 2012 (almost 214,000 feet!).

yeah the commuting definitely would've bumped my average up quite a bit but I only used it for mtb rides really. nice work out there!

2010 was just over 200 rides; 2011 170 rides; and 2012 149 rides. The mtb riding days have been dropping the last couple years but the moto days have been increasing - woohoo!

for 2012: 80 days on my Remedy; 53 on my M9; 10 on my Slopestyle [HTML_REMOVED] 6 on my hardtail; areas include Whistler, Squamish, Cypress, Fromme, Seymour, Eagle, Burke, Woodlot, Red, Bear, Sumas, Vedder, Mt Washington, Mt Prevost, Sun Peaks, Silverstar, Williams Lake, Port Angeles, North Fork (RIP) and 8 days riding in Italy.

If I was a little more tech savvy I should really keep track on some program rather than my pen and paper calendar, lol.

My goal for 2012 was 100, and I was very happy to get past that in December with the help of some lights to extend my season. I got out for around 85 rides in 2011- all on my Enduro.

Looking forward to another 100 this year!

Grand Total 109
Seymour 46
Fromme 34
Squamish 8
Shuswap 6
Burnaby Mtn 3
Campbell River 3
Cypress 2
Sunshine Coast 2
Vancouver (Stanley Park) 2
Whistler 2
Chilcotins 1

Good to see I'm not the only one nerding out over ride stats….hopefully someone doesn't start a thread on parts used and money spent over the year….it's far more than I'd like to admit.

You could ride in the Okanagan area every day for a whole year and not ride the same trail twice, yet not a single person so far in this thread rode here in 2012 (sillystar doesn't count.)

Shame on all of you!

The trails at Red aren't a secret we have maps at the local shops and on http://www.fvmba.com I myself took a long time to come around the All-Mtn goodness of Red but have found myself going there more often lately.

Those are XC trails. Uphill in both directions.

101 rides.

17 days @ Whistler

No more than 10 rides anywhere else. Pretty spread out actually.

9 days @ vedder
7 days @ Sumas
1 day @ NF :crybaby:
but everything else is scattered.

Pretty slack year considering I rode 150 days the year before. Yikes. :stupid:

56 rides on NomadC
42 rides on V10C
3 on other.

That is cool. I started using Strava in May:

2012 Highlights
Total Distance (includes trainer rides) 1,141 km
Trainer Distance 86 km
Road Distance (excludes trainer rides) 1,055 km
Time on bike 99:26:21 hrs
Total Rides (includes trainer rides) 77
Trainer Rides 9
Rides over 50 km 1
Total Segments Ridden 281

Considering I missed July and August due to injury that wasn't bad.
