Looks like Squamish's Neal Kindree was the first to cross the finish line.

How was it for the rest of the pack?

the rain was driving down sideways and there were only a few smiles crossing the finish line. i was a vollie at the finish again, and Kindrie was well ahead of second place. In fact, there was about 5 minutes in between each of the top 5 riders

it was my first experience racing, i was in the middle of the pack, finished in just under 5hrs. \by the time my bike hit the paths they were absolutely destroyed with mud ruts and pools of mud. but, the atmosphere was resilient and it made it feel even better to finish. My poor derailer… so many issues with the mud.

Pretty decent endo… too bad i didn't have my gopro on!

Congrats to our Nanaimo Girl Wendy Simms for a fantastic win at just over 3hrs (!!), with a big grin on her face afterwards. :woot:

Best time yet of 3:22. Yay! Question for dr. Clark, if I've already got the test of metal parasite, can I get it again?

Ride of the day had to be that Rhys Verner kid. He's only 14 or 15, and he crushed the 14-19 category in less than 3:15. In a few years, he'll be breathing down Kindree's neck. He's already within a second or two of the winners in the local DH series. Look out.

Conditions were the worst I have ever seen. Despite that I got 3:28, so I was pretty happy.

Those Squamish kids are fast.

First time doing it (first time even riding the course) and got a 5h02 with a bike definitely not designed for a race like that!

Mud above the 8" rotor in the front in a couple of spots. Probably the worst conditions I have ever ridden in, feel bad for the trails!

I absolutely loved the test of metal race conditions and ended up with my best time yet (3:12).
Like many others, I am a freak and the more miserable the riding/weather/race conditions the happier I get. The plunge was hilarious!

As far as damaging trails, it took a toll on the new section of roller coaster. However, all the other (TOM) trails are really, really tough and will recover. Trust me when I say, those are not the trails we worry about.

Rhys is astonishing to watch during the race.

My first time doing it,ended up with a 4:12. I didn't make my goal of 4 hrs, but I did make my goal of zero cramps. I was pretty stoked on all the spectators out for the event, especially on roller coaster with all the camera flashes going off.

4:18 and change best time yet!! I broke my chain in Crumpit woods, so no mechanical and I will be faster next year. The Roller coaster was so fun on Friday, by Saturday it was really getting worked in.

Good job to everyone that finished and especially to the VOLLIES that stood outside the whole time in that crap day.

My race was just ok, not my best time at 3:59, I really wanted at least 3:45, was still fun. The fast downhill sections I couldn't see a thing, basically riding with my eyes closed and still lots of crap in my eyes. I just hope that I don't get some sort of freaky TOM infection, that would suck! Just checked my almost brand new Ikon… those tires are trashed! Sidewalls destroyed! I'm surprised I didn't flat. The plunge for some reason for me felt like it was supper grippy, I passed LOTS of riders there walking. Thats where I probably killed my tires tho…

Yeah I had a lot of fun ripping down the plunge. Everything did feel really grippy, although I was running a Minion and Purgatory so that gave me a big advantage on the DH

My first ToM and first race of that nature by far so happy with a time of 4:28. So stoked on all the spectator's and vollies braving the element's. Thanks to everybody involved.
