I am quickly realising that some of my bibs need to retire as they are 15+ years old.

Just throwing it out there.
I know a few squamites, packing up and moving to lillooet. Some of them considered the island, but wanted to stay close to big mtn skiing. I always thought of lilooet as down and out, but it has all that I am looking for (big mtns, lakes, killer riding, climbing, and a winery.

I am not ready to move as I love squamish. But I think lillooet might prosper, especially as its not in the middle of nowhere (and recent paved roads are primo compared to the old days).

Just a couple of added notes.
The 7 mesh jacket for me is strictly for riding. I would destroy it for trail building. For trail building I pretty much use my old beat to shit jackets.

I am not sure I could afford the 7mesh jacket if I was buying one for riding. I love it, would love to have another one, but I am super cheap.

As far as industry - I am the farthest thing from it. I believe "athletes get the shwag, photographers get the credit, and trail builders get the shit." The shit being fines, anger, controversies etc. However, I have twice gotten gear from "industry" this is the second time and damn - it sure is nice getting gear.

Oh, and a couple of days after getting the jacket I crashed.

Ripped the back of the jacket - massive rip (pretty much the whole back). Any jacket would have been destroyed.

Brought it to 7mesh and they repaired it (free).
So yup - pretty sold. The jackets also is pretty compact so I can take it on any "iffy" weather day. It fits in my hip/fanny pack.

I got given one for trail building.
I love it, and if I lost it, I would buy another one.

Rode the park today with the little man. They have one hell of a trail crew, and it is an amazing park.
Will probably hit it every time I come to Cumberland to visit family. You can tell it is in growth faze, but the future looks unbelievable. Reminds me of early years at Silver Star.

Heading to cumberland from squamish for the long weekend.

Is it worth taking my 8 year old to the Mt washington bike park. He can send jumps, and rips on technical trails (loves crank it up, and lower a-line). What's the park like for groms? He can't gap jump.

in squamish after clearing blowdown I sometimes carve a wood carving out of a log. Pretty basic stuff like a bear, wizard or rabbit and leave them at the trail head. Supposed to act as a trail marker, and a place to put race course marking.

Four of them have wandered off.

The funny part is the last one to wander off now lives on a person's doorstep in Brakenstan (brakendale).
Pretty cheeky! Even has the trail name carved into the base of the carving. I always thought they wandered off to a gun range.

Anyways - there are weirdos in every town.

Like every mtb kid in the sts, my boy watched the Cranxwork slopestyle event.
And like every kid, he now wants a dirt jumper. He has hit the local jumps, with a bmx and mtb, but alas, he wants a dirt jumper. And he has saved up enough money via cutting lawns, and begging grandma for money.

My boy is 8 and built solid.

However, I know nothing about dirt jumpers. And I also wonder about the 20 inch wheel size. Pretty sure if I buy a 20 inch wheel he will grow out of it immediately.
