I don't pay for water, so not too concerned on usage. More concerned about where I can get the best deal on a budget and where to buy. Do i need a 400 dollar toilet? I'm hoping to flip this place this year.

If you start researching this, there are lots of toilets that are chronic cloggers, can't pass enough waste, etc.

If you are flipping, go cheap. If not, get a skirted type, much easier to keep clean, and get the handicapped height unless you are really short.

I replaced my toilets (Cranes aka Leakmaster) with Kohlers. Elongated silent flush with low water consumption. They'll flush a lot of matter, are quiet, are comfortable, are really well built, and refill quickly. IMO, it's worth spending the extra money.

Also - your building is most likely metered, so you are paying indirectly for the amount of water you use through strata fees.
