In Prince Rupert right now, maybe I'll cancel our ferry trip and just start biking south now?

uh, to be clear, i was referring to the trip report; i can't vouch for the trip itself
you could probably get to bella coola from prince rupert by ferry, no? bit late in the year to backtrack along skyler's route but maybe not

If you decide to do that you'll probably want to take half the weight you have on your bike off and ship it south. Pushing a loaded touring bike up some of those passes would be challenging.

Coming from someone whos a bit harshed out by the seemingly growing number of blogs dedicated to detailing every outdoor experience; that was awesome!! Those two pieces were fantastic. The trip, writing, and photography were stellar.

If you want more than just the photos, one of the guys on the trip has a blog here: http://www.limberlost.co/lost-idaho-1-4-idaho-city-smiley-creek-lodge/
Spotted thiese Klymit sleeping pads in the local Atmosphere. Pretty compact able.
I love you guys, but if you want a seriously good nights sleep with no compromise then buy an Exped Synmat (or Downmat in the cold) and forget about everything else.
Or save two grams and toss and turn all night.

Was impressed with how small the Stativ V could compress. Was slightly bigger than a King Can.

Remember I went from the black inflate with air mattress to the Thermarest type way back. And it has been a long time since I looked at this stuff. So am pretty impressed with what has come out.
Just added an Extrawheel to my list of belongings/bike gear. Going to use it to help me carry my kite board gear around.
If it doesn't work, I'll happily sell to any of you bikepackers, since apparently it's really good on single track.
Anyone in Metro Van or Sea to Sky area making bikepacking bags?
Seat bag, frame bag, or handle bar bag?
I know of the usual manufacturers and the custom makers, just surprised that no one locally is making them.
