i agree, your money, your choice.

but remember, my opinion, my choice.

so of course you are welcome to spend money on remote control cars… as much as you want.

but people are allowed to laugh at you for it, as much as they want

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and most are full of shit.

i'm gonna look at it with my kids and buy a fucking remote control airplane! (not sure how to make that sound less sarcastic, but i am serious)

Man, they'll like it as much as you do. Their cheers when you crash are almost worth the cost of replacement parts.

That's a pretty challenging form of r/c flight.
But the simplicity of a glider is where it's personality lies.

My dad and I used to build and launch those little rockets where the parachute pops out at the end. Those were pretty fun as you were never really sure if they were going to come down safely to be launched again or just go spinning out of control to certain destruction.

Our greatest achievement was a space shuttle. Everything separated at the apex, the fuel tank and boosters deployed parachutes and the shuttle glided down in circles to a soft landing.

Not to mention it was something that you and your pops could do together. I don't have to compete with video games or tv when the chopper comes out.

the most important question to ask is "what is your budget?"

I like the Traxxas electrics. A bunch of buddies have them and they're solid units with a good aftermarket following.

um, no… i didn't get a remote control plane because i couldn't afford one… and then i kinda grew out of wanting one - or so i thought.

thanks for that website. i'm gonna look at it with my kids and buy a fucking remote control airplane! (not sure how to make that sound less sarcastic, but i am serious)

I thought half the point of having a kid is so that you can buy all the toys that you didn't get when you were a kid.

It's almost worth having a kid if only for the water guns alone.

Just to show what $$ can really buy.. the engine on the left is a 50cc 11HP engine.. thats about 3600$ alone..

then engine on the right.. is just a little.. 30.5cc Reed engine pushing a lame 7HP…. for only 1100$

that engine is BEAST and puts my twins to shame.. with a new ported head on the big engine it can push 15HP…
