i find I drink more now than i did at that time.
I also drink too much coffee and smoke too many bidis from time to time, so it's all relative in my opinion.

oh i've been off it before for various periods. truthfully, i'd say i've smoked herb fairly regularly about 16 out of the 23 year span. and i didn't think of it because i wanted it. only that i was noting how good i felt about something else and how it sort of felt like a high…

well, I'd say you might be one of those people who need all the brain cells they can get. i know that i'm one of those people.
my dad even told me so around 4 years ago. he said something along the lines of "if your going to smoke dope, at least don't smoke it 5 times a day.you need all the brain cells you can get".

Why not drink? its good if your a responsible drinker! moderation! I have always been aloud something to drink since I was like 14 but have never been drunk, lol. But ross need all the brain cells he can get!:P

I think thats the way parents should educate their children. In europe, kids are usually allowed to taste their parents wine or beer or whatever, and the drinking age is 16. The thing is though, you dont see gangs of drunk 16 yearolds running around! People are much more respoinsible there.

I haven't smoked pot in months and months and not even by choice but out of a total lack of desire. I suspect that this has to do with a 'religious' ceremony that I attended in Brazil which involved the drinking of a sacred (and intensely) hallucinogenic tea called ayahuasca. Apparently this 'drink' has an extremely high cure rate for coke addicts and alcoholics as well, Since I took ayahuasca I have had no desire or thoughts of smoking pot and i'm sure the ayahuasca was the catalyst.

Nope, you always get the kids drinking on street corners over here. I used to get trashed when I was about 14 all the time, now im 22 and I cant be bothered anymore. Gave it all up for a year, and when I had a nice pint of real ale, holy moly I could bearly walk.

Im gonna stick with a little of these vices once or twice a year. Now I have soooo much more time for myself:)

Good call with quiting it. I've quit for various reasons along the way (anywhere from a month to 2 years) and just find once you're head clears you really dont think about it that much. And the head is SO MUCH clearer. But I also remember if I was drunk and had a hoot or 5, that I'd pretty start smokin it again. In that way, it reminds me of the cancer stix.

There's no age limit on anything. I know for a fact when I was in greece that i could buy porno, ciggs, and alcohal without getting a question at 13. Though I didn't. Also you could get into clubs at any age.

no reason to drink. im hyper already. and destructive. hahaha
