How, mathematically, is it possible for returns to "exceed sales", anyway?

That sounds unlikely - as in you sold 20 phones but twelve came back? I find the whole scenario hard to believe, and wonder which rival cell phone company paid for the study.

Highly doubtful. But also highly entertaining.

I do believe the 'anemic sales' reports that are also part of the article, but the returns outpacing sales makes a far better headline.
