I rode up the tram with Bender at the 1st Grouse World Cup. I had no idea who he was, but we talked the whole way up. I then asked him if he was on the Banshee racing dream cuz he was going up with a Scream and a Scirroco (what did I know? I still rode a hardtail), and he responded in true Benderese. He said…"Bender doesn't race!" Then, I saw him again, with Dan S., from OnTop, and we talked more, and I decided he was actually a pretty cool guy. I wound up buying a Chaparral. Any word on his recovery?

Join the NSMBA. You'll meet plenty of celebrity riders. At the last AGM, I sat next to Smoke. After Skyler, he's the coolest rider out there.

Biking isn't an escape from life, its simply a better form of it.

1998- Ryan Leech stops for water on his yellow norco as i'm waiting for concert tickets in portland. I say nice bike. He says thanks. Then promptly wheelies across the street, manuals up to a window, tire taps it, and 180's out. Thanks Ryan. You sure raised the stoke level of this (at the time) 8th grader.
1999- Rode Shaums' DH rig around the parking lot at the Gorge Games DH.
2003- Gave a lost Schley and his lady directions when I was drinking a beer and building a line at my local gravel pit. Looking back on it, they were terrible directions.
2004- Does Forrest (BITS II) count…
2005- Guided Warwick, Fraser, Mike Jones and Shaums around Ashland.
2005- Metzger borrows my shock and convinces me to let him stay at my house (see the big step-down in 9-5).
2005- Met the McCalls. Was about to film Cam hitting this step-down over a sinkhole, but he got a cell phone call after two speed checks and had to go.
2006- Met a member of TEAM GNARWHALE on the NSMB boards. He was a dickhead.
