I have been riding the SQ Labs seat for a year now and love it. I was having numbness and pain issues on longer rides and did the research into Sit bones and seat design. I ended up measuring my sit bones using cardboard (15) and then measuring a number of seats at shops and in my garage. I found that for me, most seat designs were too narrow, putting pressure on the pudendal nerve, and making life in the saddle a misery. I took the plunge and haven't looked back. It was a big cost (for a seat) with a risk, but the gamble ended up paying off in spades. I legitimately haven't had any issues with comfort or pain since switching. I am running the stock elastomers but might try the soft ones after reading the above just to see if I'm missing something. There is definitely a pocket in the seat design as well as a height difference between the area your sit bones rest on and the nose of the saddle. This is one of the best things I have ever bought on a bike.

Although I am a fan of foregroud objects for depth, I find teh tree kind of overpowering and somewhat like he is heading for a big wall.

Personally I would have liked to have seen the tree on the other side and the rider going away from it rather than riding towards it and closing out the frame.

It's an awesome start though. Now you'll see differently.

radio popper is making some cool products that are well priced and have some awesome capabilities with ETTL flashes. I haven't had a chance to work with them, but have heard good things.

Nice shots Dave. You should try to pick up a few CTO gels for your flashes. They come in 1/4 increments and are orange in color. Basically they will shift your flash color to a warmer temp so you don't get that "Flashed" look in the images. The color difference between the ambient and the 5500 flash temp always gives it away.

CTO gel is cheap, like 5 bucks for a 18" by 18" sheet. You'll find it fun to work with, just tape a bit on to your flash head and presto.

You can also have a bit of fun running one flash with it on out front (To front light) and then have a flash for separation in the back not running it so you get a rim light that is more "White" (Blue).

Concert lighting techs do this all the time to highlight band members without washing them out in blue light, making them look pasty.

I have had my hands on the 7D and it is pimp. The ISO performance alone warrants a SERIOUS look.
I was shooting 3200 and it looked like 800 on my mkII. 6400 is noisy but usable if NR and maybe converted to B[HTML_REMOVED]W or for web use.

Bottom line, a 2 stop difference in performance in ISO at print quality.

The AF tracks like a mofo. Seriously. It kills it.

The small body goes either way. Kinda sucks for overall balance in the hands, but then again it's nice to have something a bit more stealth than a MK II in your hands sometimes.

For me, the reality is this:
I have a mkII and have used the shit out of it. I would love a mk4 but don't have 5-6grand to buy one. The 7D will fit my usages (And yours and mine are similar). I generally don't wind my mkII out at 8.5 frames a second a lot, and if I do I end up dropping every second frame in the sequences I build just due to the overlap.

Add HD video for kicks and it's a very powerful tool.
