Maybe to get comfortable landing on stairs try taking a bit of speed to a long stairset without a gap in it and just bunny hop at the top and land part way down.

I know your fear dude!
the first stair gap i ever did was a 9 set to a ten set, I came up short first 5 or so times, then got it dialed.

it's all about confidence, you just have to go for it!

I thought so too!

I rode the stairs just normally a couple of times, then a bit faster, then just my brain took me at it full speed before i really realised it, and wooosh, iwas airborn, was great fun, and an awsome rush!

anyone here tried gapping UP a stair gap ?????

theres this one near my house thats 5 stairs to 8 landings, wood, super smooth. so i went at it full speed form the bottom and gapped UP 5 stairs. it was crazy, and thank god for DH tubes. I would recomend only trying this on wooden stairs. this was on my 4"travel hardtail too!!

My first was about 7 to 8 or so. I'm not really that pro of a stairgapper, there's people better than me.

Just do it, it's really not that bad to case it.

As for gapping up stairs, There's a gap out here that you gap down one set, then gap up the set across from it. Gapping up works better if you put some plywood over the stairs so it's not so bumpy.

Jimmy, next time we go ride, we'll go check out that wooden one I'm talking about, or you can trail me or something. They're really not that hard. **
