Given that there's a race committee meeting tonight, I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions.

I think this is the first time he's been lead, but I have great confidence.

I have never raced before and I am thinking about trying out this serries.

I am a little concerned about the first "XC" race on Red… Not sure I am in good enough shape for a sufferfest. That climb up always seems so LOOONNNNGGG!

Someone quell my fears so I can sign up and still sleep at night!:P

what is the climb for that XC? I have ridden a few of the xc trails on the backside of red but have always climbed up the road…

First climb will be the road, not sure what the descent is now that the trail they wanted to use is off-limits. Second climb will be the road around the backside to valley view. My educated guess.

Valley View is the only single track climbing trail , besides the trails from Dewdney to the spur road . as for the climb up the front of Red yay it s tough i did it on Saturday , took me 44min from the trail start on Dewdney to the start of Big Red , i am no climbing machine i walked a good portion of it truthfully LOL .

The open category is only 10 km. I'd hardly call that a sufferfest.
