so it was bound to happen….

snapped my rear fender yesterday. snapped clean at the end of the air box tail section of the bike.

This looks like an interesting option and will make future incidents not that big a deal as you can insert new tail sections

or should I just stay with the stock fender replacement….cuz I roll like a baller as bryan would say! ha

How much is the beta fender? That breakaway fender at $129 is not exactly what I would call disposable

I bought a $6 aluminum ruler from HomeDepot and a $25 rivet gun and mine looks great. That kit is cool but waaaay too expensive.

Just nabbed a 2010 Beta 250 who's coming up?

I think the full fender is180…… But the replaceable kind looks like the re and re was a bit easier once installed. Kit is 129 but the replacment plastic fender is 70

ok I was way off on the pricing…..the internet lied to me!

I hear ya on the quick rebuild cory but the way I snapped mine it will be a temp fix and bug me. Also if it breaks again in the same spot it could damage my air box. Plus I am a suck for a clean bike….

The full scale plastic replacement fender is only about $100 or so. The kits is even cheaper still and comes with the fender and all the mounting mods ect. The break away replacement bit is like $40 so pretty reasonable to replace.

Went to see Bob and he hooked me up with the break away kit. Hes never done one so I am gonna be the guinea pig. Looks pretty good though and will fit any model of beta. Will take some pics….

I fucked my rear hub up in the shulaps, bearing exploded and the balls got in between the spacer and the hub and badly grooved the hub (4mm grooves). do you think if I machined out he inside of the hub to make it smooth it would be all good or should I buy a new hub and have a new wheel laced up?

Wouldn't you change the tolerance if you machine it out to remove the groove/scratch?
