I just found out that some guy calling himself Bobke (aka Bob Roll, ex-Lance Armstrong teammate) has a blog site. And it's pretty damn funny.

http://www.unc.edu/~hymas/blogger.html

Here are some highlights from his entry on visiting the Giro:

_"Here's my action-packed agenda for those 2 days:

7. I will tell Michael Rasmussen to eat a sandwich.

8. I will tell Basque nutter Roberto Laiseka to eat a sandwich.

9. I will tell Charlie Wegelius to eat a sandwich.

10. I will make sure Jan Ullrich does not eat any sandwiches."_

Also, check out this very cool road saddle:

"The song of a bird…We used to ask Ennesson to do bird calls. He could do them. How he could do them, and when he perished, along with him went all those birds…"-Return from the Stars, Stanislaw Lem

"We just walk around, and sometimes we go out and dance, and then we listen to the environment."-Ralf Hutter, Kraftwerk

I don't think that's Bob Roll, but just some guy calling himself Bobke…

Yeah, you're right. This guy seriously knows his stuff, though.

Another good road cycling blog, written by a cat3 racer from the east coast USA:

http://www.bobroll.com/

That's Roll's 'official' site, and it was up a while ago. Not exactly sure what happened to it though. If I recall, it's not the same as that first link. I couldn't get into the guy's writing style, the design was brutal, and it didn't really seem to me that he 'got it' - nothing he wrote ever held any interest to me…

Anyways, http://www.cycloblog.com/ is another decent one, although I think I enjoy the cyclosm.com most. It's one of the few sites where the writer's sarcasm actually comes through, and he doesn't sound like a bitter… The tdfblog.com is out there too, although I haven't checked it in ages…

Here's a link to an interview with Bob Roll that I read a while back:

Looking at that interview again, the guy is pretty funny. Maybe I was just put out by the old website (the one that's now under contruction).
