Just an FYI.. the parachute was never certified to met Canadian safety standards, and therefore was never sold in Canada. I would avoid it.

I ran the Parachute for 2 seasons.
The "Jaw protector" sucks. Its heavy, bulky and after seeing it in person, I'm pretty sure it would be completely useless in a crash.
I started running the helmet without the jaw protector and while it fit ok, it was heavy and bulky. Heavy enough that I would notice it on a long trail ride.
After it died, I switched back to a Giro Hex for trail and a proper full face for DH. My vote - don't do it.
You will be safer with an open face, at least then the shrapnel won't sever your carotid artery.
