Heckler and I vollie'd with Marine Mammal Rescue/Vancouver Aquarium to help rehab this little poor harbour porpoise. She now lives permanently at the Vancouver aquarium as she was too young to learn how to manage in the wild.

She was rescued and needed 24hr care, as she could not swim or eat on her own.

Heckler giving her a nice rub down to remove all her dead skin that had been so badly sunburnt :(

I used to do Richard Juryn downhill and then across the road to the ridge trail on the West side that drops you down to Lynn Creek with my friends little dude (he is now all grown up racing Canada Cup dh), he was 7 or 8 at the time, the uphill was manageble. BTW, 10 years ago there was little kids riding the shore, just not very many of 'em.

Did you reach your goals in 2015? What are your running goals/objectives for 2016?

Definitely! Continued to run all of 2015, even with a persistent foot pain issue. Managed to complete the Vancouver Rock'n'Roll Remix challenge (day 1=10km race, day 2=Half Marathon). I also found a way to get out running more often, volunteering as a run leader for a local shop, which turned into a clinic instructor. I am now getting paid to run, rather than having to pay for clinics.

My goal for 2016 is to continue to do what I can, enjoy my runs, and stay injury free. Since my foot problem of 10+ year has now be resolved (I do a happy dance every night) I want to see a bit of improvement in my PB's.
