The BB dweller known as WHITEHONKY (aka Dale Mikkelsen) put together a readers' rides of epic proportions. Lots of great photos and info on every little part of the bike.

Have a look here...

Once again, another fab and thorough review.
Many thanks to Cam (et al) for all these years of dedicated and rational trail- and big-bike review. I hope this site gets publicly elevated to above and beyond the status it deserves! This is kind of no-bias, no-BS bike honesty that is sadly lacking in our little world.
Bring it on!!!!!

I would like to add a very important peice of information to this article. REDICULOUS FITNESS AT WORK. That Morewood bicycle rider is one crazy climber. He climbed up burke on that beast at almost twice the speed of any one I have ever seen including cross country riders. (and by that I mean I didnt actually see him all that much).

This warning should really be evedent the minute he tried to tell you his 8" bike was for all mountain use.

Well written, lots of passion for wife and bikes in there. Thanks Cam, reviews are getting better and better the more I read. Readers Rides is a great addition to NSMB.

Awesome words and images Dale.

Small world! I live in PoCo and pay weekly homage to Burke, Eagle, Burnaby Mtn and the Woodlot. My wife and two kids watched me ride this Bullit everywhere for five years then granted permission to invest in a new rig. After serious consideration and much overtime I've landed an 09 Santa Cruz Nomad. Couldn't be happier.

What a great write up - just an affirmation for all single-pivot fans, like myself.
Assured me my choice of single pivot gemini frame is a no-nonsense as for all mountain use.

I use my bike to decently earn the descent, and each time I climb I wonder how would a VPP with nearly 7 inches of travel bounce in those pit-holes?

Concluding - I must agree with the author on all pro's as for single pivot frames and I am now happier cause I'm not alone thinking this way!
