Well, now you guys have done it. I got this from Sterling Lorence, who asked me to post it because he doesn't have an account:

had to step in with a few comments as a panelled judge of this contest.

i can't believe people would put reid's image above the winner. danny brody
has come from nowhere (hiked up onto a rock on a beach) and is heading
(without a trail) for an air onto flat wet sand…lame. looks like something
we normally would see out of hans rey. the only shot i see here would be a
dude gettin some with his girl as the sun sets…. too bad guys. if your
going to fake shots, you gotta find seemless story. the winning shot
deserved to win cuz that's a huge air (officially bigger than anything
bender has ever done) (yes lacking style), some soulful light, and solid
composition.

Good one sterling, I agree. But thats cause i dont understand the photo rather than the composition thing cause I am not an artist. The photo in prague is definatly dope. Oh btw mike watch ur public profile 'proffesion- photographer' ooooooh. Controversial, surly you must have at least 10 campaigns if you are a pro

I wanna hear the real story of the photo,

where did Dan transfer from to get on that rock?

how did he get down? was it a slo-mo wheely drop to the sand?

did he actually get off there smooth or just plant it into the sand

you were there Mike, tell us the storey

knowing danny he probably heli dropped out of a burning apache helecopter with hans rey by his side. Upon arrival on the jagged death rock he proceeded to huck the shit out of it and land in the buttery smooth sand. Babes were waiting for him on the beach with a cooler full of mikes hard and pringles.

now i'm so fresh you could smell me through a ziplock.

The real question, is what is Sterling Lawrence's problem with Hans Rey? Hans Rey rocks (no pun intended), when did it become an insult to do something like him?
