Went for a quick run with some friends on SFU today when some guy rolls up with no helmet. I guess he forgot it and when he got to the top of the mountain and unloaded his bikes (let's not digress into the level of lameness of shuttling SFU) decided he'd risk it. When questioned on it - he responded with an eye-rolling 'like you'd sacrifice the ride…'

So who else here would not 'sacrifice a ride' under the circumstances? Me - I'm just kind of surprised that anyone would make that decision - but I guess that's why Mountain Dew still has a market.

I'd never ride trails w/o a helmet.

How do you manage to do that without notcing that there is no bowling ball dangling from your pack?

I have exploded 4 full face lids in my time…..all while JRA.

How could I ever ride without one?

Riding without a helmet is an easy way to get killed, or become mentally retarded. It's stupid and pointless.

The only time I don't wear a helmet is fireroad climbs with a full face helmet. I wouldn't even ride "just down the road" without a helmet.
