it took me 12 minutes to go to work.

I had to walk down a flight of stairs. Takes longer for the pc to boot up than for me to get to work.

Oh ya and Devo, they're lying. This happens a few times a year that the computers on skytrain go tits up or it stops running for some other reason.

because it has. there have been glitches, weather issues, suicides etc

but not since 1996 has the system gone "off line"

So they've had 12 years to work on a back up system.

I say FAIL

I like getting teh angry pirate from chihuahua

:orly:

Ya ya ok so this is the 1st time it's crapped out for this reason, but it's not the 1st time the whole system has died. And like I say, itf it's been flawless for 12 years, shouldn't that be enough time to get a back up system in place for just such an occasion?

ya just a few months ago i was a train that just stopped 200meters from metro station, i felt like rippign the doors open and just walking along the tracks to the station. it was stopped for maybe 25 mins.

but still, transit has wayyyy too mnay hiccups

anyone got stats handy on the nu,ber of glitches in vancouver compared to rest of canada and even europe.

and we have only one loop here, not a crazy system like in France or england.

that one was because someone was on the tracks, or so i've been told. You can't blame translink for that.

They usually use the "computer malfunction" excuse when someone juumps under the train and they have to clean it up.

that is the most reatrded thing ever even a retarded would say thats retarded

When there is someone on the track or a suicide, they usually call it a "police emergency". The train today had an electrical problem. Translink spokesman Drew Snider said it would never happen again…duh! It happens several times a year.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.
