if it dont leak,dont touch it.

you cant pound dents out of a fuel tank very easily and GM uses some funky fittings on the fuel lines.If you dont have the right tool to open them,you will screw the fuel lines too.The level senders are pretty sensitive to being knocked around when you remove them as well.Then there is the baffle inside the tank that will be in the way when you want to fix the dent…….

Moral of the story?Dont dick around in Daddy's van!

you went 4x4 in a van??

Being an agoraphobic adrenaline junkie would be pretty convenient, because you could get your rush from just going to the store to get some milk instead of having to jump off a mountain or out of an airplane.

if it doesnt leak, leave it. you wont be able to pop the dent out, and you will need a replacement tank in that case. the lines on those require a special spring lock remover tool.. not to mention pulling a tank is teh shits. what are the chances he will see it? slim. for all he will know it was there before he had it.

:lol::lol::lol:

quick fix. Get a good strap wrapped around the gas tank. Attach that to a sturdy pole. Accelerate the Van hard till you run out of gas.

ya we decided to just leav eit up there. pu the reason we wanted to replace it was beacuse now his fule gage is screwed up and when its full it only reads 3/4 tank. but we just put a 10 gallon jerry can in teh back of his van now so we shoudl be fine.

easy gas tank removal:

tools required:
one match, half a brain.

sounds like your "friend" has the half a brain part down…now all you need is a match.

now get your friend to light the match and throw it in the gas tank…wait for a few milliseconds, look for gas tank in nearby tree or on neighbours lawn….also may find some spare car parts…throw those away, you won't need them

the explosion will probably get the dent out.

you could make some cash….video him while he is drilling it…just stand back.

and remember: an empty fuel tank is way more dangerous than a full one.
