Well i haven't been on here in a while and i recently got back into mountain biking. I decided to ride my bike again and i remembered why i put it away, the reason was is that there was squeaking coming from my rear shock area, what could it be? i tried packing the bearings with grease and it didn't do anything at all the squeaking still occurs. could it be my bushing or possible my bearings? please tell me I really want to fix it for when i go to whistler this summer. thanks :D

it's probably some play in your shock bushings which should be pretty cheap to replace.

i'd bet the DU bushing is dry as a fart or perhaps even worn out…

take the seat off the bike and hop around. My seat is tight and it still yells at me all the time. Take your bike to a shop get them to find where it is squeaking. It would also probably a good idea to replace the bearings and du's even if they are not making any noise because they are probably worn out or even more worn out

worn shock reducers squeak too, could be that. they feel the same as a worn DU (play when you pull on the saddle).

"It's, like, so much fun."
