blue groove for front, nevegal for rear. save money and get just as much or better grip.

while having never owned either i'd be more inclined to give the Blue groove a try over the maxxis…

i've always found maxxis tires to have thin sidewalls…

I have a 2.35 Nevegal on the rear, and I'm really happy with it…grippy in all kinds of situations. I have a 2.35 because I got a smokin deal on it, I'd prefer a 2.5. Never used a Minion, but ride with guys who are really happy with them. I say, go for whatever you can get cheapest. I don't think either is wrong.

i have 2.6" kinetic super tackys, and i actually kind of like them. they've lasted a lot longer than i expected given the compound. i think i'd probably go for the blue grooves just based on price. my friend has a minion on the front of his bike but i like my tires more i think…they don't roll as fast but they're grippier when it's wet.

Hmm any idea how much overtime is selling them for in 2.5? Anyone set them up for tubeless with stans?

Will trade Hope 4 piston 8 inch Manitou adapter for marz adaptor.

2.5 kevalrs at Overtime are $60. A better deal is to go to Caps New West and use this coupon and get 2 tires for about $70.

As for tubeless, I rode with a guy who had a 2.35 Blue Groove mounted with Stan's on a X3.1; he had them for a month and he flatted that day, must of hit a rock. He was happy with them still however, its only one guy having one flat so not much to go off of. he was running 20 PSI.

I remember reading that Kenda's tire measurements are pretty accurate. Didn't Michelin double the price of thier tires this year?

Steve, I'd recommend the Kendas, esp. the Nevegal.

I ran the 2.35 DH Nevegal on the Front of my rigid bike for a while and it was awesome, tons of grip on everything and you can run pretty low pressure.

Also used it on the rear and it is as good or better as the Minion super tacky I had on before.

So that plus the cheaper price of the Kendas over the Maxxis…

PS, are you riding the shore today?
