Maxle lite with older fork?

Google couldnt help me with this one so here goes.

Would the new maxle lite fit in my -07 Lyrik?

I'm gonna go with yes. I haven't actually done it, but argyles haven't changed and they now come with a maxle lite.

I'm concerned about the qr preload on the threaded side for the older version maxle vs the new non-preload. Is that there to put pressure on the fork for durability or just to secure the lever?

works just fine :)

I have no shame in admitting my Pike 454 air u-turn had the "old maxle"

a 2010 Specialized bike (Pitch Pro) turned up in our shop with the Maxle Lite in the newer Pike

I thought (customer will never know..) and swapped the Maxles ;)

a 2010 Specialized bike (Pitch Pro) turned up in our shop with the Maxle Lite in the newer Pike

I thought (customer will never know..) and swapped the Maxles ;)

You really live up to your nick then…

But still, thx for the info. Ill be litening up the old fork soon then. 50g is quite alot on an already pretty light fork.
