I was using liquid latex. The coating is slicker than teflon.

I wonder if you were to spray the inside of the casing with a degreaser prior to mounting if that might remove any mold-release residue that might be affecting the sealant???

That's exactly what I found. Whatever is on the inside of the tire, it behaved like the ultimate non-stick coating available.

I even tried to take this surface off with soap and a scrub pad. No go!

That's what I should have done… I just thought putting in so much effort to post the article deserved to be recognized. It was my first time trying to use it.
