Monthly Wallpaper: October 2023

Photos A.J. Barlas

Here we are, the third monthly wallpaper and the culmination of summer here in the Northern Hemisphere. As we move into fall, we’re seeing more gray skies, a much-welcome return of moisture to the trails, and cooler temps. To celebrate, our October wallpaper comes from cooler times on the trails in Squamish, B.C. The image is of Mark Haimes, aka “Kram,” doing what he does best: making tricky and critical lines look easy. For those who know Kram you know that he was forced to slow down for the latter half of the summer, something he’s having to learn to do, no thanks to a broken neck. He’s in high spirits, though likely frothing to get back on the bike.

For the landscape/desktop image, we’re including versions with and without the calendar details, so you can use it anytime you like without it being ‘dated.’ The portrait/mobile version comes without the calendar for less screen clutter.

We’re rolling on with the same formatting as last month, which did away with the white border. Let us know in the comments if anything is less than perfect, and we’ll continue to tweak it as we go along.

These are great! Thank you for the version without the calendar so I can keep it in rotation.

Perfect October shot for me. Cloudy skies and bright light up top where the rider is dropping in but down below, darkness awaits.
