My 20d still rocks the house surprisingly. They are cheap as cheap nowadays. Decent framerate too, although that has never been of any use to me.

You know it… and contrary to what most like to believe, if you took a shot with the 20d and one with the EOS-1D Mark IV, i'd bet $100 that most of us could not tell which shot was taken with which body.
why spend the extra $4000 if you don't need to? i'd rather buy another motocross bike.

That said, I do think going for quality lenses as opposed to quantity of lenses is where ones money is best spent.

Want to spot me a 200mm f/2 L IS lens?

Thanks for the comments guys. I ended up buying this http://cgi.ebay.ca/Canon-EOS-Digital-Rebel-XTi-Kit-400D-Canon-EF-S-18-55_W0QQitemZ360219143111QQcmdZViewItemQQptZDigital_Cameras?hash=item53debbebc7

It just arrived, the auction says it's a consignment item, but it doesn't appear to be used, everything was packaged right and it seems mint.

sweet. i have that camera and it does what it needs to do.

Being an agoraphobic adrenaline junkie would be pretty convenient, because you could get your rush from just going to the store to get some milk instead of having to jump off a mountain or out of an airplane.

they also call me "balloon"
