In Burnaby at least, Svein and Christian were very active, at one point Svein was in the break doing most of the work. After they were caught another break formed and Svein did a ton of work to pull it back. On the other hand, when they interviewed the winner he said he sat in the pack protected by his team until the final sprint. Obviously that was their plan not sure what Orica's plan was…
Gastown Crit Next Wednesday night July 11th!
Halfway through the White Rock crit Tuft is leading solo by almost 30 seconds.
Tuft won easily, almost lapped the field. He was right on their heels for the last few laps.
Ugly crash on the last lap. One of the New Zealand guys went down hard into the curb at the corner of Pacific and Fir and had a team-mate roll over him. He ended up getting loaded into an ambulance on a spinal board, but it looked mostly precautionary. Hopefully no serious damage.
