Can anyone recommend a good dual ring chain guide?
Which ones work well [HTML_REMOVED] which ones should I avoid?
It's for UK Freeride on an '03 Bullit.

Isn't Evil the only guys who make a DRS?

I have not used either, but Evil makes one and MRP makes the "Long Range Patrol" (LRP).

They seem a bit pointless to me. Just get a medium sized single ring, like ~36t. You'll get stronger and you won't even notice it after a few weeks. There's less mainentance, less weight, and the bike just gets simpler. Hell, you might even be able to sell your current rings, shifter, and derailleur to pay for some of the guide.

i feel that the evil may be the best one out there.
ive used it for months now, never droped a chain, and the bashring is great.

I tried to get an Evil / E13, as I heard the same thing - these are the best. No luck though, I was buying when they were suffering from supply problems.

So I gave in and bought the LRP from MRP. The E13 may be better, but this works awsome anyhow. Since I put it on, I've had zero dropped chains, no jams, and the front derailleur still works perfectly.

I'd recommend it to anyone who rides a Bullit.

They are pointless for pure downhill. But I end up riding XC with some of my friends and there are lots of technical gradually uphill trails over here that I also ride. I saw a pic of the Blackspire Dewlie and it looks like if you hit a rock, you would hit the bottom roller when going over a log. Has this happened to anyone with any chainguide?

Can't happen with my LRP - I've got the roller up higher than the bottom of the bashring.

I have an Evil DRS on a Banshee Scream and it works flawlessly.
I run a 22T and a 34T BTW. I would definitely recommend it to anyone! (assuming it works as well on your bike as it does on mine)

Got pics? I have the same guide, but it's not on my bike yet, and I want to know how high I should move my arm up, for reference.
