I am thinking of having a axle made for my race bmx. My problem is I have now broken 2 axles on the current hollow axle set-up on the Shimano DXR rear hub. I love the weight and instant engagement of the hub so I want to keep running it. I was thinking of having a machine shop build a Ti axle for it, would this be the best strength/weight ratio alloy.
Opinions?
