Hello Peter! The shock mount will go theoretically 5KN of force when you bottom it out.  The shock mount is made from titanium that's yield strength is ~880MPa and ultimate yield strength is ~1000MPa. We simulate the shock mount on 10KN with safety factor of three. It means that the weight of a VW Polo would be loaded on the shock mount. I think that there would be some other part breaking before the shock mount ;) > I wonder how the original prototype is holding out? Pretty good actually. We are still riding it without a worry.
