My understanding is that on a single pivot bike, like the new Supreme DH V4, a
high pivot location results in a better arc for the rear wheel to react to the
ground. The trade off is that it's very susceptible to chain tension issues. I
think under tension, the swingarm is harder to compress, someone correct me if
The idler pulley on the swingarm removes/reduces the effect of chain tension
from the suspension function.
Tell you what Malcolm, you go and start your own website and forum community
and live your little PC life there. This is Cam's site and he can run it how
he likes. Step down? Are you for real? Go away.
I'd argue the sport does need Napalm back. Sure he might not be racing or
winning anymore, but a lot of DH has become quite dull. I think it's why
everyone seems to be mostly excited about Ratboy doing so well this year. The
Palm could help make DH 'cool' again, instead of just being popular.
