The Decline of Vancouver.

Been looking at these things for years: D O P E

I guess I would tear out the bunk beds and make it bike storage?

OT, but….

The Decline of Vancouver.

I thought Monaco was bigger than that. Thanks to wiki now I know….

It along with Luxembourg are tiny, old city states based on places to store money with low taxes.

I don't think I've ever been somewhere with so much old money as Monaco.

PSA: "Special warning issued by coroner, Avalanche Canada, prior to B.C.'s Family Day

not making excuses for dumb sledders but deep pow sledding is way harder to learn than skiing IMO. 1 have about 30 days on a sled and im a newb. its the hardest to learn sport I have ever done.

I wasn't talking about the skill required to be proficient, just the barrier to entry.

Anyone with a credit card and a hand can run a snow machine (admittedly not well), but even if you have the ski equipment you are unlikely to go ski touring if you can't stand on skis or stop.

Anyone been to Monaco?

I'm guessing the people that work in Monaco live in France and take the train or bus in every day.

so far all but one have been sledders, what does this mean ?

From when I took the AST1, the reason is the amount of terrain that a sled can access is many times higher than can be accessed by human propulsion in the same time.

The other thing is that barrier to entry to human propulsion is that you have to have had some training (even a ski lesson) and likely a few years of experience (even in bounds) before you start heading out.
For a snow machine all you need is a credit card.

I'm guessing the number of skiers/snowshoers that have taken AST1 or greater is a lot higher than snow machine riders.

Donald Trump... Narcissist in Chief!

Trump talks tough about returning jobs to the USA, but is it just talk? He is right about corporations [HTML_REMOVED] government officials selling out to China, Vietnam etc. but would he do the same?

Snagging your shorts on the chain [HTML_REMOVED] idler wheel wouldn't be much fun…

The Decline of Vancouver.

You mention head offices for example. Vancouver doesn't have many and those alone can drive up wages.

Anyone want to cross reference this list with size?

Ride with a Folding Saw

I have 3 of these, one in riding pack, one in building pack, one extra for, well, because. great value and performance

I also carry them in the door panel of my 4x4 as sometimes you need to trim small fallen or over hanging trees to get to the trail head.

Short term car options

If you don't need a newish vehicle, what about the companies like rent-a-wreck? They rent used cars.

No experience doing that though.

Many years ago, for work we rented cars for 6 weeks at a time in Belgium [HTML_REMOVED] Taiwan but probably not applicable for here. As I recall it is different companies than the normal ones that do long term rentals.
