i think ive seen your car pull out of mt matheson. i was riding a trials mod with no seat? maybe youve seen me.

Yup, that would have been me. Don't remember having seen ya but I'm always pretty out of it when I'm driving.

Cove-rider, I'm running the Talas now and it's ridiculous. I mean just silly. I run it at 90 with a ton of pressure and it feels fantastic. It weighs practically nothing but is super stiff - I can't notice any tracking difference between it and the Sherman. I definately recommend it for DJ over the Sherman in terms of damping performance…..like miles ahead of TPC.

Rossco, what chainstay length are you running?

Had it for a bout a month and other than getting a longer mech cable and a new seat collar she's pretty much dialed in. Best bike I've ever had. Ever.

Follow linky and check photo album for a few more

Converting to single speed?

About how much would it cost for a shop to do it? If I'm gonna do it I'd want to put spacers in the cassette and set it up as a legit single speed, not slap it together.

Converting to single speed?

It's for my DOC so although the dropout is vertical I can tension the chain horizontally.

I am currently running a BlackSpire guide up front and a Saint rear mech. It works well, but when I come down hard the chain skips to a lower ring and it's getting to be a pain in the ass pedalling it back into place. Should I just get over it?

Converting to single speed?

Alright, I'm just wondering aprox how much it would cost to convert a geared bike to single speed. I'd need a new ring for sure, but would I need a new cassette?

And for those of you running a single speed jump bike, what ratio do you use?

Pedals

Rode the roadgaps for a couple years and loved em. Sold them with my bike last year and have been wishing I hadn't ever since. There are flashier pedals, but the Roadgaps feel great and hold up really well.

That said, I'm saving up for some Syncros Mental Mags….

Hayes rotor bolts...special tool?

Thanks boys. I'm only gonna be running a rear brake for the summer, but if I decide to throw a front brake on for the winter how hard is puting the rotor back on gonna be? I've heard that even torque must be applied to all bolts otherwise the rotor will warp?

The bolts on my 6" rotor aren't standard hex keys. They sort of resemble a star screw head…what sort of tool do I need to remove these and how much does it cost (roughly)?
